NCA (National Construction Academy) has been launched to meet the growing need for high quality employment driven training for young people to enter the building trade. Specialising in the delivery of Bricklaying Traineeships and Apprenticeships, we are dedicated to providing your business with skilled young people, helping to build the pipeline of your future workforce and allowing you to train them to meet the needs of your business.

At NCA, we are dedicated to providing you with the talented young people that will form the pipeline of your future workforce for years to come. Traineeships

The NCA Traineeship offers candidates extensive support and training to achieve their CSCS card and to understand the practical skills and knowledge required to be a valuable and safe member of a worksite. The Traineeship lasts for a period of 12 weeks and includes 6 weeks of training and 6 weeks of work experience with an employer. Each Trainee will then be equipped to enter onto an Apprenticeship program with that employer.
Traineeship Requirements

  • 6 week commitment split into two blocks (spread over twelve weeks)
  • Provide support, supervision and mentoring
  • Complete an interview at the end of the programme
  • Have an interest and be open minded to recruit an Apprentice

Benefits

  • This is a work experience programme where we ask employers to offer candidates without experience support and mentoring, therefore pay is optional
  • All candidates have CSCS cards
  • Excellent opportunity to meet potential Apprentices and understand their ability before recruiting

Apprenticeships

The level 2 Apprenticeship in Trowel trades allows candidates to achieve their City and Guild Level 2 qualification and become a trained member of the worksite. The programme lasts for a minimum of 12 months and is studied on a day release basis.

Apprenticeship Requirements

  • 12 month commitment
  • Provide support, supervision and mentoring
  • Pay– From April 18th 2018 Minimum wage will be £3.70 per hour
  • Full Apprenticeship employment rights (contract of employment and pay during training and holidays)
